Hi, I’m Thomas Lemmer, author of From Silence to Sound – Unlocking Creativity in Music Production. I wrote this book to help musicians and producers get unstuck, find their own voice, and turn ideas into finished, emotionally resonant music—without getting lost in endless gear lists or rigid rules. It’s the guide I wish I’d had when I started: creative, practical, and rooted in real-world studio work.
I make music because creating something beautiful genuinely makes life worth living. My goal is to craft soundscapes that help you relax, focus, and dream—and to share what I’ve learned from years of producing ambient and electronic music, from intimate piano pieces to immersive Dolby Atmos mixes.

Why this book exists
From Silence to Sound distills my creative process: how I shape ideas, design sounds, collaborate, finish tracks, and make decisions that give a song its character. It blends artistic mindset with hands-on techniques—from arranging and sound design to mixing (including immersive approaches)—so you can build a repeatable path from spark to finished release.
Who I am
I’m a German ambient/electronic artist and producer with a classical piano background who fell in love with synthesizers, texture, and space. Across my catalog I’ve pushed for depth and detail—culminating in Atmos-mixed releases and collaborations that keep stretching what “chill” and “cinematic” can feel like. Highlights include:
- Albums in Dolby Atmos, including HOPE and DREAMSCAPES, created to be genuinely immersive on speakers and headphones.
- Chart recognition: STILL and ZERO GRAVITY reached Germany’s iTunes Electronic Top 10; PURE hit the Swiss iTunes Electronic Top 10 and #2 in the official German Chill Out Charts; AMBITRONIC stayed in the Chill Out Charts Top 10 for 36 weeks in Germany.
- Collaborations with artists and vocalists across albums and projects, including my cross-border album ONE VISION with Oine (Adrián Márquez), an immersive listening experience shaped with meticulous production detail.
- Awards: In 2025, my track “Nocturnal Embrace” won the German Songwriting Award, and together with Oine & Electrix, I received Best Immersive Mix for “BERLIN.”
